Dancing with the Stars Pro Julianne Hough Diagnosed with Endometriosis

Dancing with the Stars’ Julianne Hough’s ailment last week was more than just a stomach ache. She has an ovarian cyst. She will be undergoing surgery minor surgery to remove her appendix, but she will be dancing tonight. (The appendectomy is unrelated to the cyst.)

This two-time Dancing with the Stars champion went to the hospital after last week’s live results show with stomach pains. On her website (JulianneHough.com), she confirms that she has been diagnosed with endometriosis, a common medical condition that causes the development of uterine-lining tissue on surfaces of organs in the pelvis or abdomen where uterine tissue is not supposed to grow. This condition affects five to ten percent of women of reproductive age around the world.

Hough will be dancing with her partner Cody Linley tonight, and will likely announce her course of treatment on tonight’s performance show. E! Online speculates that Cody Linley will be paired with another partner until Julianne feels well enough to continue on the show.

Two young men who are believers in “white power” have been arrested and charged in Tennessee in what federal officials described as a plan to assassinate Senator Barack Obama and kill black children at a school.

Federal officials said they regarded the scheme as “serious.” It does not appear to have moved to an advanced stage, according to court documents unsealed Monday, but officials said the two men did acquire several rifles and cased a home and a gun store to rob as part of the plan.

Federal officials said that both of the men who were arrested — Paul Schlesselman, 18, of West Helena, Ark., and Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn. — told interrogators that they had talked of assassinating Mr. Barack Obama Lawyers for the men could not be reached.

John McCain’s “Joe the Plumber” tour in Florida was driven off-message Thursday as reporters’ questions sidestepped his bid to attract blue-collar support and focused on his running mate’s $150,000 makeover.

A frustrated John McCain insisted Sarah Palin won’t get to keep the clothes and accessories the Republican National Committee bought to keep her looking stylish, adding the Alaska governor been short on sufficient campaign-appropriate attire.

“She needed the clothes at the time. They’ll be donated at the end of this campaign,” a frustrated McCain told reporters on his campaign bus between Florida rallies.
